Nashville Predators President of Hockey Operations/General Manager David Poile announced that the Predators will open their six-game 2015 preseason schedule on Sept. 20 by hosting the Florida Panthers for a doubleheader, then play home-and-home series with the Tampa Bay Lightning and Columbus Blue Jackets.
The 2015 preseason slate marks the fourth consecutive training camp – and second straight year – that the Predators and Panthers have played a split-squad doubleheader. Nashville will then play the 2015 Eastern Conference Champion Tampa Lightning on back-to-back nights, first on Sept. 22 at Amalie Arena, then Sept. 23 at Bridgestone Arena.
The Predators will wrap up their 2015 preseason with a pair of games against former Central Division rival Columbus, first in Smashville on Sept. 29, then at the Blue Jackets’ Nationwide Arena on Oct. 3. The 2015-16 regular season opens the following week.
The 2015 Nashville Predators rookie camp is scheduled to open Thursday, Sept. 10, with the team’s prospects traveling to Estero, Fla., for a rookie tournament against the Washington Capitals, Tampa Bay Lightning and Florida Panthers from Sept. 12-15. Veterans will then report for testing and physicals on Thursday, Sept. 17.
