After a sold-out first week of MELODRAMA WORLD TOUR dates in the UK, it was announced today that rap duo RUN THE JEWELS will join the tour’s much-awaited North American leg as direct support for LORDE.  The news arrives just after a hugely-successful launch last week, when Lorde played to sold-out crowds across the UK, including an audience of over 10,000 fans at London’s Alexandra Palace.  Described by The Guardian as, “the sort of gig whose gaps are filled with screamed adulation,” and hailed as, “entrancing from first to last,” by the Manchester Evening News, Lorde’s Melodrama World Tour has already garnered overwhelming praise from critics, with Birmingham Mail declaring it, “a show that feels like a genuine privilege,” and The Independent crowning the performance simply as, “a perfect live show.” 

Described by Rolling Stone as, “Hip Hop’s Most Intense Truth-Tellers,” Run the Jewels, the pair consisting of Killer Mike and El-P, will bring their high-energy live show to fans  to over 30 North American dates for Lorde.  In addition to Run the Jewels’ direct support slot, MITSKI will join as a special guest opener.
